About me
As a Physical Therapist for several years, I enjoyed working with people of all ages in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and in clients’ homes. I had the privilege of partnering with clients and families to enhance their physical well-being. Through this work, I became increasingly aware of the emotional, mental, and social components of physical health. I then decided to pursue education and training as a psychotherapist.
Later, I earned my Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology. During a year-long internship at a home for women in transition, I worked with women and their children addressing issues including childhood abuse, substance abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, grief and loss.
My extensive understanding and experience in the physical realm is an asset that will benefit you as we work together in the emotional and relational realms. My holistic approach honors the beauty and complexity of our humanness.

“It costs so much to be a full human being that there are very few who have the enlightenment or the courage to pay the price… One has to abandon altogether the search for security, and reach out to the risk of living with both arms. One has to embrace the world like a lover. One has to accept pain as a condition of existence. One has to count doubt and darkness as the cost of knowing. One needs a will stubborn in conflict, but apt always to total acceptance of every consequence of living and dying.”
